Roleva Energy was established in 2004 by Dr. Lucarelli, an international energy and power sector expert who has 38 years of energy industry experience, of which 34 years have been spent working in Asia. Roleva Energy supports both private companies and government agencies on commercial matters related to Asia’s power and energy sectors. For multi-disciplinary projects, Roleva Energy works in association with international law firms and engineering companies.

Dr. Lucarelli has been based in Asia since 1989 and has extensive experience as a power plant developer, manager of a coal-fired power plant in the Philippines, and advisor on conventional and renewable power and energy projects throughout Asia, especially in Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Laos, and Singapore.

Over the years, Dr. Lucarelli has managed multi-year coal procurement projects throughout Asia in Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, India, and the Philippines. He has also served as a team leader on various due diligence and market entry studies related to Asian solar, wind, and biomass fuel projects. He has, in the past, been a frequent speaker at energy and power conferences on topics such as solar PV economics, coal markets and pricing, advanced energy technologies, and LNG supply and pricing. He holds a BA in Economics (Hons), and a Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in City and Regional Planning from the University of California at Berkeley.
